    I am interested in medical education for both medical students and residents. I hope to get them excited about the most incredible organ in the body, and to emphasize important skills that make well-rounded, patient-centered physicians. The areas of nephrology that I’m most intrigued by include acute kidney injury and glomerulonephritis

    Why Utah?

    I moved to Utah for a variety of reasons: first, my partner moved to the area a year before me so I chose to follow along; second, the University of Utah offers an incredible nephrology program that combined a strong academic institution with compassionate, interesting, and welcoming people I wanted to surround myself with; and third, the state of Utah offers a diverse and beautiful landscape to explore both on foot and by bike!

    Hometown

    I grew up in a small town in Southeastern Kentucky called Corbin, the home of KFC and the only consistent moonbow in the world!
