Utah AIDS Education & Training Center
The Utah AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) is part of the Mountain West AETC (MWAETC), a regional program based at the University of Washington. Affiliated with the University of Utah’s Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, we provide innovative education and training to healthcare professionals to improve access to care and quality of life for people living with or at risk for HIV.
At the Utah AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC), we are committed to equipping healthcare professionals and students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality HIV care. Through our affiliation with the University of Utah’s Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, we offer specialized education on HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and psychosocial considerations.
Our training opportunities are designed for primary care providers, mid-level clinicians, behavioral health professionals, and students entering the healthcare field. By integrating the latest clinical guidelines and best practices, we ensure that our participants are well-prepared to address the complexities of HIV care in various healthcare settings.
