Tess Battiola, MD

Endocrinology Fellow

I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was drawn to the University of Utah for Internal Medicine residency for the exceptional clinical training here in addition to easy access to the mountains and other countless attractions out West. During my 3 years of residency, I took advantage of my surroundings in this beautiful state (by hiking, skiing, camping, etc.) while also focusing on my medical training. Through my clinical experiences, I found I was most attracted to Endocrinology - a field that allows me to foster relationships with patients over time while treating complex conditions. Long-term, I hope to practice Endocrinology in an academic setting. I am especially interested in obesity medicine, new diabetes technologies, and reproductive Endocrinology.

Cheri Watson, MD

Endocrinology Fellow

I completed my residency training at the University of Utah and am very excited to stay for fellowship in endocrinology because of the excellent mentorship, clinical opportunities, and supportive environment that I have experienced here. I am most interested in insulin resistance, diabetes management, obesity, and weight loss, but I love that the training at the U will prepare me well to practice in any area of endocrinology and allow me to broadly explore the field.  In my free time, I look forward to hiking in the nearby foothills and Wasatch front, continuing to expand my vegetable garden, enjoying the summer sun and winter snow, and getting to know my co-fellows.
