Community Engagement

Community is the backbone of our mission, and we are committed to the well-being of all of the communities we are lucky enough to be a part of, both near and far.

EVENT TABLING

PARCKA values opportunities to table at events to educate and engage with our community about our program, resources, and services. We appreciate that tabling provides us with the chance to connect with our community personally, genuinely, and face-to-face.

We have had the pleasure to table with the following: Clean Slate Utah; Larry H. Miller Company; Rasa Legal; Salt Lake City Farmers Market; University of Utah Addiction Medicine Student Interest Group; Utah Jazz/National Basketball Social Justice Coalition; Utah Pharmacy Association; Utah State Fair; and the Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness.

If you are interested in us tabling at your upcoming event, please contact us at PARCKA@hsc.utah.edu.

SERVICE PROJECTS

Service can often be the glue that holds a community together. Service, even in its smallest form, can make a large difference to the lives of people and communities in need. PARCKA would not be what it is today without the service, solidarity, and support from the local and national recovery communities. Recovery communities are built upon powerful, resilient, and skilled individuals, groups, and organizations and we are proud to give back when we can.

One of our favorite ways we give back is through service projects. We have been able to facilitate seven service projects (as of summer 2023) for community stakeholders who provide direct resources and service to our local recovery community and others in need. Take a look below at our services projects to learn more.

If you are interested in having a service project with us, please contact us at PARCKA@hsc.utah.edu.
