Drew Baird, MD

Andrew Baird, MD

Dr. Drew Baird is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo School in 2018. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2021 and then spent a year doing an Advanced Hospital Medicine Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. 

Bobby Endo, MD

Bobby Endo, MD, PharmD

Dr. Bobby Endo is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Washington in 2019. He completed his internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital at the Harvard Medical Center in 2022.

Andy Gagel, MD

Andrew Gagel, MD

Dr. Andy Gagel is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Texas, Houston in 2019. He completed his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2022.

Josh Goldberg, MD

Dr. Josh Goldberg is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from Albany Medical College of Union University in 2018. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2022 after being Chief resident for a year.

Dr. Nagesh Gullapalli is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the Gandhi Medical College in 1997. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wright State University in 2004 and held an appointment as a hospitalist at the University of Nevada until his arrival in Utah.

Dr. Shannon Myers is a third year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from Tufts University in 2018. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2022 after being Chief resident for a year.

Dr. Kate Alta is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020.  She completed her medicine/pediatric residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2024.

Sujana Balla, MD

Sujana Balla, MBBS

Dr. Sujana Balla is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, India, in 2019. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco, Fresno in 2024 after being chief resident for a year.

Jacqueline Dickey

Dr. Jacqueline Dickey is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston in 2021. She completed her internal medicine residency here at the University of Utah in 2024.

Kellen Hirsch

Dr. Kellen Hirsch is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received his medical degree from the University of Colorado in 2020.  He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Washington in 2023 and held an appointment as a hospitalist for a year until his arrival in Utah.

Diane Lu

Diane Lu, MD, PhD

Dr. Diane Lu is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow in the Physician Scientist track. She received her medical degree from the National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan, in 2007. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2024.

Deborah Peana, MD

Deborah Peana, MD, PhD

Dr. Deborah Peana is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow in the Physician Scientist track.  She received her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2022. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Utah in 2024.

Dr. Chloe Theeuwes is a first year Cardiovascular Disease fellow who received her medical degree from Wayne State University in 2021. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati in 2024.
