Congratulations to Dr. Daniel Leung in the Division of Infectious Diseases who has been appointed as the inaugural Dr. Thomas D. Rees and Natalie B. Rees Presidential Endowed Chair in Global Medicine, effective July 1, 2022. This Presidential Endowed Chair was established through the Rees Estate in 2013. Dr. Thomas D. Rees was an innovative New York plastic surgeon who helped found the Flying Doctors Service of East Africa, a charity that employs a fleet of small planes to provide medical care and save lives deep in the African bush and was passionate about high global medicine.
