Welcome Mark "Majd", MD, New Assistant Professor

 

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is pleased to welcome Dr. Majd “Mark” Ibrahim to the full-time faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine.

Dr. Ibrahim earned his medical degree from Tishreen University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and a Chief Medicine Resident year at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He went on to complete a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at UIC. Most recently, Dr. Ibrahim completed an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship here at the University of Utah. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, and cardiac nuclear imaging. 

Dr. Ibrahim specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of patients with Cardiovascular Disease including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension. He has special interest and expertise in Cardiovascular Imaging, including Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. 

Dr. Ibrahim will be seeing patients at the Farmington Health Center. In addition, he will attend on the Cardiovascular Medicine Unit and will be actively involved in our multimodality cardiac imaging program. Dr. Ibrahim will also serve as the Co-Director of the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship.
