Welcoming New Physician Leader to General Internal Medicine

The Division of General Internal Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Cioletti, MD as the Associate Chief for Ambulatory Operations and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Cioletti has most recently served as Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Population Health at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. Dr. Cioletti earned her BA from Baylor University and her MD from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She trained in Internal Medicine (Primary Care Track) and was selected to serve as the Primary Care Chief Medical Resident at George Washington University.

Dr. Cioletti has been recognized with local and national awards for clinical care, practice innovation, medical education, and quality improvement. She has presented and published work on high value care in limited resource settings, primary care medical education, and retention of women in academic medicine.

In her new role in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Dr. Cioletti will be focusing on faculty development, primary care education, and ambulatory quality improvement. She will also have outpatient primary care practice at Madsen Internal Medicine.
