Dear colleagues:
With the recent 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak in China, we want our U of Utah Health faculty, staff and teams to have easy access to the resources available and the most up-to-date information regarding coronavirus.
The following university-sponsored sources have been established to provide updated information:
• Coronavirus Central @theU (General Information)
• U of U Health Infection Prevention & Control – Pulse login required (Clinical Information)
Experts within U of Utah Health are working with the Centers of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the Utah Department of Health and other public health agencies.
At this point, the CDC reports that no cases have been confirmed in Utah and the immediate risk to the American public remains low. Additionally, our hospital's Code Bio team has a pandemic plan (Pulse login required) in place that addresses procedures for outbreak situations and we are prepared to implement these procedures at a moment’s notice.
We encourage you to visit these sites regularly—they will be maintained and updated as new information becomes known and available. Anyone with further questions related to coronavirus should contact Infection Prevention & Control at 801-581-2706 or via SmartWeb.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the patients and families who rely on U of Utah Health. Your commitment to their health and safety during this most recent outbreak is vital to the health of our community.
Sincerely,
