Geriatrics Moves Into Madsen
After moving their practice temporarily to the Murray clinic, the Division of Geriatrics clinical efforts have moved into their permanent home at the Madsen Health Center.
Madsen Health Center has been undergoing extensive renovation to improve the patient experience. The renovations have improved the facilities to match the standard of care at other University of Utah Health clinics.
The Division of Geriatrics is looking forward to being closer to the University Hospital. Geriatrics faculty and advanced practice clinicians serve as a valuable resource for physicians and patients across the health system when it comes to delivering quality care for older adults.
Geriatricians provide primary care through University of Utah Health’s Geriatric Patient-Centered Medical Home, which provides accessible, comprehensive, high-quality, coordinated care to promote older adults’ health and wellness. Geriatricians are also available to provide geriatric consults – notably for assessment of cognitive impairment and falls – co-management with primary providers, and Medicare annual wellness visits. Currently, the Geriatric Patient-Centered Medical Home is accepting new patients.
